For the Parents

GET A BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROCESS: Do not try to memorize and learn every single detail of recruiting process. Instead, gather a basic understanding of the process and your role in the process. Just like me, you are a parent and your number one job is to provide guidance and support for your teenager. By understanding the basics you not only minimize the confusion, but you will have an idea of who you need to seek for help. More importantly, you will gain an understanding of college admission requirements, the coaches role, what to look for in a coach, and adhering to compliance. So, educate yourself by acquiring a basic understanding of the recruiting process.

BE PROACTIVE: Ask as many questions as possible, look for resources, and talk to other parents who are experiencing the same thing. Stay involved, get in the know, and show your teen that you are just as interested in the recruiting process as they are.
