Student-athletes are magnets for recruiting organizations that “guarantee” athletic scholarships.  If you choose to use a recruiter check on their:

- credibility
- services offered (resume preparation, coaching databases, etc), and
-fees

Characteristics of a good recruiter:

-explain exactly what they are going to do
-explain their expectations and what is required of [you] the student-athlete
-keeps you informed throughout the process
-doesn’t make unrealistic promises
